About me

Wilhelmina Helena: photography/make-up/styling & music

Helena Vegter is a multidisciplinary artist, graduated from the Minerva Academy for Popular Culture. Besides being a photographer, she is also a singer and make-up artist. Her love for fashion and glamour is reflected in all of her work, characterized by her sense of styling and make-up.

As an artist, she performs with her original music under the name ‘Miss Helena.’ With her ultra-glamorous and vintage-inspired looks, she adds sparkle to every stage.

In 2013, Helena won the 1st prize at Kunstbende together with her brother, Rik Vegter. She has performed original songs and covers on multiple stages, such as De Melkweg, Noorderzon theaterfestival, Jamey Fitz, and Der Aa-Theater.

As a photographer, she focuses on fashion, glamour, and art. She has created series such as ‘Clothing from Different Cultures‘ (2017) and ‘My Freedom, Islam‘ (2019), which were exhibited at the Eusebius Church in Arnhem and Q-Factory in Amsterdam. In 2022, she produced a series with original historical fashion for the exhibition ‘From Corset to Sequins‘ at the Veenkoloniaal Museum Veendam.

She works as one of the regular make-up artists at RTV Noord, among other jobs for Zummerbühne, Studio Flink, and more.
